How to Buy Roblox Stock

Thanks to the numerous online trading platforms, now you can easily purchase almost any stock in the world, including Roblox (RBLX). This article will show you exactly how to buy Roblox stock and what to do after you've acquired it. Please keep in mind that this article is not offering any trading advice. We're simply showing you the step-by-step process of purchasing the stock.

About Roblox

Roblox Corporation is an American video game development company. Founded in 2004, the company's headquarters are in San Mateo, California.

The company is famous for releasing the game with the same name, Roblox, in 2006. Roblox is an online game creation system and game platform where users can create their own games by using the programing language Lua.

Initially available only for Windows, Roblox became available for iOS users in December 2012 and for Android users in July 2014. As of November 2015, the game is also available for Xbox One users.

Because of the high number of platforms released during that period and the lack of interest for press coverage of one of the cofounders, Roblox was largely unknown to the public during the first years.

The game began to grow during the second half of the 2010s and became a big name during the Covid-19 pandemic, reaching 164 million users in 2020.

Although a free-to-play game, users can make in-game purchases using "Roblux," a virtual currency.

Roblox stock

Roblox is traded on the New York Stock Exchange (NYSE) under the ticker RBLX. The company went public in March 2021 with a $41 billion valuation.

After the first day, RBLX stock closed at almost $70. Since then, the RBLX stock price continued to slowly rise until reaching an all-time high of $134 in November 2021. Shortly after, the stock price fell sharply, reaching an all-time of $58 in January 2022.

Roblox plunged by more than 36% due to a fiscal policy change of the Federal Reserve.

To confirm your identity, you upload your ID and, depending on the platform, other additional documents. In some cases, you will even receive a phone call from one of the company's representatives.

The entire process can take anywhere from a few hours to a few days.
